" At some point, an internal signal tells us it is time to begin our metamorphosis into beings of (f)light.
So we attach ourselves upside down on a branch (turn our world upside down by stopping what we have been doing), shed our outer skin (the material world) and begin using spiritual practices to spin a pupa or chrysalis to contain us while we transform.
This container, like us, becomes increasingly transparent during our metamorphosis.
Only when the chrysalis opens do we realize that we are no longer caterpillars but beautiful butterflies.
We discover we have wings that lift us off Earth.
Like the Monarch, we find that the spiritual practices used in our “milkweed diet” make us immune to the dangers and challenges of the world of duality.
Pitfalls and predators that once plagued us now find us toxic, so they allow us to fly unfettered in a new reality.
This analogy helped us understand our own innate urge to evolve and to trust at a new level the forces driving our emergence.
We also found that we could support and facilitate this intrinsic biological process in several ways.
The first was to acknowledge our own metamorphosis.
This helps generate an “attractor field” that makes it easier for others who are also feeling an impulse to transform.
The second is to find or create places where, as “caterpillars” seeking “milkweed plants,” we can go to “hang upside down” and “build our chrysalis.”
Here we can “hang out” with other seekers, use spiritual practices to attune our DNA, and find the solitude and support we need while metamorphosizing.
Lastly, we see the need for some humans who have completed
their metamorphosis into butterflies to stay around for a while to
make sure that all the fledglings find their way to the new reality.
